Recommended Opening — smaller than the door on purpose. The door mounts inside the garage, behind the wall, and overlaps the opening by 1.5″ on each side, so the opening is 3″ narrower than the door. Height is not reduced.
SPRING PLATES — 3 spring plates are required at 16′ and wider above 600 lbs, per the Vidor spec. Everything else is job specific and determined by engineering.
Maximum height — 14′0″ is the tallest door in the table, so the 3″, 6″ and 9″ options are unavailable at 14′.
